Full Car Ceramic & Graphene Sets: What's Inside and What You Actually Pay
A full-car ceramic job at a studio is typically quoted at ₹40,000–60,000. PMD's Full Car Sets itemise it: genuine Norton and Turtle Wax products plus a doorstep detailer, ₹17,800–20,800 all-in.

A Full Car Set is a genuine Norton coating for the paint and glass, plus Turtle Wax products for the interior, trims and tyres, bought separately from any studio and applied by a doorstep detailer you choose. It costs ₹17,800–20,800 all-in, against studio quotes we have collected of ₹40,000–60,000 for a full-car ceramic job. This post explains why we built it, what is inside, and where it does not fit.
Why we built the Full Car Sets
Ask a studio for full-car ceramic protection and you usually get one number. Glass, interior, and tyres and alloys are often quoted at ₹5,000–10,000 each, and paint makes up the rest of a ₹40,000–60,000 quote. You cannot tell what is product, what is labour and what is margin. Those figures come from quotes PMD has collected and vary by city and car size.
For someone who has just bought a new car, that opacity is the problem. The sets put every component on the table: the product, its price, and the application cost, so you can see what you are paying for and who you are paying.
What is inside each set
Full Car Ceramic Set (₹12,800 in products) and Full Car Graphene Set (₹13,800) cover each surface of the car:
- Painted body: Norton Ceramic Coating (₹8,500) in the ceramic set, or Norton Graphene Coating (₹9,500) in the graphene set
- Glass: Norton Glass Ceramic Coat (₹2,550)
- Interior: Turtle Wax Ceramic + Graphene Inside Job (₹900)
- Trims and dashboard: Turtle Wax Inside & Out Protectant (₹450)
- Tyres: Turtle Wax Wet 'n Black Ultra Wet Tire Shine (₹400)
- Optional add-ons, not in the set total: Turtle Wax Luxe Leather Cleaner & Conditioner for sealed leather seats (₹780), and Norton Plastic & Metal Ceramic Coat, which the manufacturer recommends for interior plastic and metal parts only (₹2,550)
The sets are a selection, not one box. The products come from different suppliers, so they ship separately and may arrive on different days. For the same products, the marked retail prices add up to ₹25,679 (ceramic set) and ₹30,304 (graphene set).
What "hydrophobic" looks like
Norton describes both paint coatings as hydrophobic and publishes a water contact angle of 110° for each. The higher the angle, the more water beads up and rolls off instead of spreading across the panel, which is also why a coated car stays easier to wash. The clip below shows the effect (turn the sound on).
The numbers, side by side
- Ceramic set ₹12,800 + doorstep application ₹5,000–7,000 = ₹17,800–19,800
- Graphene set ₹13,800 + doorstep application ₹5,000–7,000 = ₹18,800–20,800
- Typical studio quote for a full-car ceramic job: ₹40,000–60,000
- Difference: roughly ₹19,000–42,000, depending on the set, the quote and the doorstep price you negotiate
Doorstep application here means wash, paint correction and application of the coating, which is what the ₹5,000–7,000 typically covers.
How the products get applied
For the painted body, we recommend a professional. Book a doorstep detailing service (they are available in most major cities; search online and compare), ask for a thorough wash and paint correction first, then hand them your Norton coating to apply. That is our recommendation, not a manufacturer requirement.
Glass, interior, trims and tyres are straightforward to do yourself with the guide. You are not obliged to: you can ask the same doorstep team to apply them alongside the paint. Agree it when you book. It is usually a small additional charge, and many teams will fold it into the quoted price if you raise it upfront.
Ceramic or graphene for the paint?
The difference between the two sets is the paint product and about ₹1,000. Norton describes its Graphene Coating as having anti-static properties that help keep dust from settling, and it states the same durability figure for both coatings: up to 2–5 years, subject to maintenance. We have no independent test comparing the two, so we will not claim one lasts longer. If dust settling on a freshly coated car bothers you, graphene is the one Norton describes that way; otherwise the ceramic set gets you the same stated durability for less.
Why the brand on the bottle matters
Unbranded, white-label coatings often publish no test data and have no named company standing behind them, so you are trusting a label you cannot check. Every product in the sets is a Norton (Saint-Gobain) or Turtle Wax product, shipped sealed to your door. That is PMD's custody model: you hold the product before it goes on your car, and you choose who applies it.
What to know before you buy
- Norton coatings are not for matte paint or direct sunlight. Do not wash the car for 7 days after the paint coating.
- The Norton glass coating is stated at 6 months on the windscreen and 1 year on side glass. The Turtle Wax products are maintenance items you re-apply, so expect to reorder them.
- Durability figures are the manufacturers' own, subject to maintenance. They are not a warranty.
- Application is not included in the set price. Studio and doorstep prices vary by city and car size.
Common questions
Can I take the bottles to my usual detailer?
Yes. The products work with any detailer you trust, whether a studio, a detailing centre or a doorstep service. Ask them what they would charge for application only.
Do I have to buy the whole set?
No. Each product can be bought on its own from the same pages, so you can start with the paint coating and add the rest later.
Why do the products arrive on different days?
Norton and Turtle Wax come from different suppliers, so each ships separately. Plan the application after everything has arrived.
How long does the paint coating last?
Norton states up to 2–5 years, subject to maintenance. That is the manufacturer's figure and not a warranty, and real life depends on washing habits, parking and conditions.
