Car Skin PPF E-Warranty

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Car Skin paint protection film comes with an e-warranty issued by Car Skin. It is registered after your film is installed. This page explains what it covers, what it does not, and what to keep so your warranty can be activated. PlushMyDrive supplies the genuine film; the warranty itself is Car Skin's, and the warranty period for your product is shown on its product page.

1. What it covers

›Replacement of the film if it develops a manufacturing defect: cracking, yellowing, bubbling, peeling, adhesive failure, delamination or discoloration.
›Replacement of the defective film is the only remedy. Car Skin does not cover other loss or damage.
›The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

2. What it does not cover

›Labour. The warranty does not pay for fitting the replacement film. The installer's fee is paid by you.
›Film applied over repainted, aftermarket-painted or vinyl-wrapped surfaces. It is intended for fully cured original (OEM) paint only.
›Film applied on headlights, indicator lights, chrome or carbon-fibre trim.
›Damage from improper care or cleaning, including abrasive or unapproved cleaning products, misuse, or illegal use.
›Poor installation, or installation that does not follow Car Skin's installation guidelines. Your installer does not need to be Car Skin-authorised when you buy through PlushMyDrive, but the film must be fitted by a professional installer with proper care.

3. How to activate your e-warranty

›Step 1. Get the film installed by a professional installer. Ask for a tax invoice that shows the installation date and the film fitted.
›Step 2. Keep the roll label from the box. It carries the Roll Code ID (RCI) that identifies your roll. Photograph it before installation starts.
›Step 3. Collect: your order number, vehicle registration number, make, model and engine number, the installer's name, phone and address, the metres of film used and the panels covered, a photo of the roll label, at least 5 photos of the installation with the box, and photos of the front and rear number plates.
›Step 4. Send these to support@plushmydrive.com with your order number. An online registration form is coming soon; until then we pass your details to Car Skin's team on your behalf and confirm to you when your warranty is activated.
›Car Skin's team activates the warranty from the details you send. You can look it up later using your Roll Code ID and phone number on Car Skin's own website.

4. Making a claim

›Write to us at support@plushmydrive.com with your order number, your tax invoice from the installer and photos of the defect. We take the claim up with Car Skin's team for you.
›Car Skin assesses the claim. Where the damage is from sunlight heat, Car Skin decides how to settle it. If the claim is accepted, the film is replaced at no cost.
›Car Skin's published terms also allow you to contact Car Skin directly at voc@thecarskin.com.
›Car Skin's centres and sellers cannot change or extend the warranty terms.

5. Good to know

›You are responsible for following the Motor Vehicles Act in your state, including informing the authorities if the film changes your vehicle's colour.
›Do not wash the vehicle for 3–4 days after installation, and avoid pressure-washing near the film's edges.
›This page summarises Car Skin's published warranty terms. The full terms are on Car Skin's website, and they prevail if there is any difference.
